Business Fives is back with the Summer 2018 Season in Glasgow
Glasgow Professional Services Football Event.
Business Fives kicks off in Glasgow with the Professional Services event, the first of 3 in the city. In the previous Business Fives season the Glasgow Professional Services Football Event was represented by 18 companies’ across Scotland and raised over £2,000 for their chosen charities.
The Glasgow Professional Services Football Event will be the second of eleven events held across Scotland for the 2018 Summer Season of Business Fives. With the continued support of our industry partner organisation, The Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, the event will take place on Thursday 26th July.
Supporting Charities
For 2018 Business Fives have again committed to awarding the winning team with a bumper donation to their chosen charity of 10 per cent from all of the event’s revenue.
Since launching in 2016, Business Fives have seen year-on-year success having worked with over 400 companies and raising £42,000 for Scottish charities.
Summer 2018
Now entering its fifth season the teambuilding and networking events for footie loving firms will take in, for the first time, five Scottish cities – Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Inverness and Dundee.
Each of the teams taking part will be competing for a place in the grand final taking place on Wednesday 26th September in Edinburgh.
Business Fives Supporters
Business Fives boasts some famous ex-players and sporting celebrities as ambassadors including footballer former Rangers star and ex-SFA boss Gordon Smith, ex-Celtic star turned commentator Andy Walker, Hibs legend Pat Stanton, Hearts stalwart Gary Mackay, BBC Pundit Tam McManus along with TV presenter David Tanner.
Tournament founder and Business Fives managing director John McClarey – who also organised a highly-successful inaugural Business Fours golf tournament earlier this year – says “the events have proven to be a very big hit with the Glasgow Professional Services sector and allows a wide range of job roles to come together on the football pitch and down tools for the afternoon. We’ve been really impressed at the charitable efforts from the city of Glasgow that has lived up to its reputation of having communities at the heart of their work. Given the mix of companies we’ve had involved it promises to be another good networking opportunity for the industry.”
