Recognition on both sides of the water for Business Fives with Causeway Exchange awards win

Business Fives picked up the Sustainability & Social Impact Award at Causeway Exchange’s annual awards night at the stunning Glasgow City Chambers.  The awards celebrated entrepreneurial talent in both Ireland and Scotland and celebrated the successes of companies with Irish links in Scotland and vice versa.

Causeway; the Ireland Scotland Business Exchange, an organisation set up in 2016 to promote growth opportunities for firms in Scotland Ireland and enhance trade relations between the two countries.  Sponsored by law firm CMS, Business Fives was shortlisted amongst some stiff competition including engineering giant and headline sponsor for the awards, Jacobs, who created a dedicated global centre of excellence for sustainability, Changeworks Recycling and the Irish Voice.  The award recognises the importance of businesses  giving back to communities by creating a positive social impact and creating a sustainable future.

Founded in April 2016, Edinburgh based Business Fives has created a new, exciting atmosphere and network for professionals to make new connections, whilst promoting active lifestyles through playing sport.

Actively encouraging all levels of ability to participate, promoting health, fitness, wellbeing and community engagement; all whilst raising over £43,000 for a broad range of Scottish charities supported by a company commitment to donating 10% of all revenue to charity.

Hosting Scotland’s national business five-a-side tournament, which is now entering its fifth season with 12 events in summer 2018 with future plans to expand into Ireland.  The company also host Business Fours, Scotland’s national business golf tournament.  With over 3,000 professionals from over 400 companies involved in their events many participant organisations are fellow Causeway members, with many more throughout Scotland.
