Business Fives Glasgow Professional Services Event is a sell out this summer!

This month sees the 2018 Summer Season of the award-winning Business Fives, the popular business five-a-side tournament, kicking off with the Glasgow Professional Services Event.

For the first time we are extending our reach to football loving professionals across five Scottish cities with 3 events coming up in Glasgow.

With continued support from Glasgow Chamber of Commerce the Professional Services Event taking place on Thursday 26th July has already sold out. The event, which is being sponsored by Ladbrokes Coral Charitable Trust, allows companies a unique opportunity to swap the office for the football pitch, turn colleagues into team mates and make some new connections with the teams they are playing alongside all whilst raising money for charity at the same time.

With 2 other events in the city the Energy & Utilities sector and the Construction, Housing & Property industry will meet on the 2nd and 9th August respectively there is still time for companies wishing to get involved to find a place in the events this summer.

Dean McPherson, Area Manager at Ladbrokes Coral said “We were very keen to support the work of Business Fives as their charitable focus is closely aligned to our work within the community. Our high street shops are the centre piece for the communities we work in and we are committed to encouraging responsible gambling and positively affecting society. We see this as a great chance to promote our charity work through the Ladbrokes Coral Charitable Trust and we are looking forward to getting the boots on to see if we can win the donation for Beatson Cancer Charity.”

The tournament boasts well known ambassadors including former Rangers stars Gordon Smith and Ally Dawson, former Celtic star, Andy walker and Tosh McKinlay.

The Glasgow Professional Services Event will see companies from across Glasgow try to take the title from the reigning champions, Page Group.

Each business taking part has nominated a charity partner to play for and will compete not just for the title of champions but for a bumper donation from Business Fives. With an aim to raise more that £25,000 Business Fives will continue to donate 10% of revenue to the champions chosen charity.

A range of companies from the sector have already signed up with iomart, Jackson Boyd, Thompsons, Gleeds, Digital Impact, Grant Thornton, Edrington x2, BTO Solicitors, Sure Thing, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Aggreko, SecuriGroup, TEKSystems, Ladbrokes Coral Charitable Trust x2 so far.
