Business Fives Glasgow Football events returns this summer
Business Fives Glasgow football events kick off in just under a week with the first of 2 events on Tuesday July 30th in the city. With the events this summer supported by the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce.
To date over £82,500 has been raised for charities across Scotland as a result of the corporate football events and this summer the aims is to surpass the £100k milestone.
Glasgow firms have a choice of two qualifying events with the first on Tuesday 30thJuly and the second at the end of August to be held on Thursday 29th. The five a side events for football-loving firms will take in 6 Scottish cities this summer as well as venturing south to 9 English cities for the first time before the tournament concludes with the national final in Edinburgh at the end of September where the national business five-a-side winter champions will be crowned.
We are pleased to once again be partnering with the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce following the success of the partnership in recent years. Getting the chance to bring sectors together while promoting a healthy and active lifestyle is fantastic and given the companies already signed up for the Summer events in Glasgow that include Grant Thornton, the City of Glasgow College, iomart, Shepherd + Wedderburn it promises to be another great series of events.
As a socially conscious company Business Fives have again committed to awarding the winning team with a bumper donation to their chosen charity of 10 per cent from all of the event’s revenue.
The corporate football events with a charitable impact have a host of stellar clients and are an excellent opportunity for team building and networking for footie loving firms as well as raising money for charity simultaneously.
Business Fives ambassadors former Rangers star and ex-SFA boss Gordon Smith, the ex-Celtic star turned scout Tosh McKinlay will be along at the Glasgow events for a Question and Answer session at the drinks reception.
Tournament founder and Business Fives managing director John McClarey – who also organises a highly-successful Business Fours golf tournament – says “the events have proven to be a very big hit in Glasgow and we are looking forward to kicking off our winter events in the city. We’ve been really impressed at the charitable efforts from the city of Glasgow that has lived up to its reputation of having communities at the heart of their work.
