Sunderland Football Event – Summer at Business Fives
Business Fives Sunderland Football Event returns to the city this Summer
Business Fives Sunderland Football Event makes a return to the area in the middle of August for their summer tournament as proud members of the North East England Chamber of Commerce.
To date over £82,500 has been raised for charities as a result of the corporate football events and this summer the aim is to surpass the £100k milestone. The corporate football events with a charitable impact have a host of stellar clients and are an excellent opportunity for teambuilding and networking for footie loving firms as well as raising money for charity simultaneously.
Sunderland firms have the opportunity to become champions on Tuesday 20thAugust. The five a side events for football loving firms will take place in 9 English cities for the first time before the tournament concludes with the national final at the start of October where England’s first national business five-a-side summer champions will be crowned.
Getting the chance to bring Sunderland firms together while promoting a healthy active lifestyle is fantastic and given the companies already signed up for the Summer events in Sunderland it’s shaping up to be a cracking return to the North East. Companies involved so far include Capita, Three, Durhamlane, Delta Simons, iStage, Partnerize, Clearly Drinks etc are all involved, and it promises to be another great series of events.
As a socially conscious company Business Fives have again committed to awarding the overall winning team with a generous donation to their chosen charity of 10 per cent from all of the event’s revenue.
Business Fives ambassador former Sunderland player Darren Williams will be along at the event for a Question and Answer session at the drinks reception.
Tournament founder and Business Fives managing director John McClarey – who also organises a highly-successful Business Fours golf tournament – says “the events have proven to be a very big hit in Sunderland and we are looking forward to kicking off our English events in the city. We were really impressed at the charitable efforts from the efforts of the Sunderland teams during our summer events and the city has certainly lived up to its reputation of having communities at the heart of their work. Given the mix of companies we’ve had involved it promises to be another good networking opportunity.”
