Leeds Football Event – Summer at Business Fives
Business Fives Leeds Football Event debuts in the Works
Business Fives Leeds Football Event makes its debut in Leeds on Tuesday 13th August with the support of local Technologists and Consultants, Infinity Works. As a company Business Fives create sports events with a charitable impact in the local community throughout the UK and is arriving in Leeds this summer.
To date, Business Fives have raised over £82,500 for charities as a result of the corporate football events and the aim this summer is to surpass the £100k milestone. Boasting a stellar client list the event provides an excellent opportunity for team building and networking for footie loving firms as well as raising money for charity simultaneously.
Leeds firms have the opportunity to become champions of the city this August with qualification for the national final at stake as well. The five a side events will visit 9 English cities before the tournament concludes with the national final at the start of October where England’s first national business five-a-side champions will be crowned.
The event has been enthusiastically received by local businesses including tournament partners, Infinity Works who offer a full suite of technology consulting services from the cloud to organisational optimisation and change management.
Infinity Works share the social values Business Fives has been established as a socially conscious company.
Pete Cotton, Operations Director at Infinity Works said “It’s a real privilege for Infinity Works to be part of such a great event, promoting social values and helping good causes whilst having a bit of fun. In keeping with this, we’ve already booked an environmentally friendly electric open top bus for our victory parade around Leeds city centre!”
With Business Fives’ company commitment since its inception to donating 10 per cent from all revenue to charity, it will be the overall England champions who will dictate where the bumper donation ends up, with any luck it will be a Leeds based firm lifting the trophy and taking home the cheque for their chosen charity. Charities in being supported by the companies taking part include Fight for Sight, CALM, American Childhood Cancer Organisation and Cancer Research UK.
Getting the chance to bring Leeds firms together while promoting a healthy active lifestyle is fantastic and given the companies already signed up for the Summer events in Leeds it’s shaping up to be a cracking introduction to Yorkshire. Companies involved so far include Infinity Works, KPMG, LNER, Freeths, Willmott Dixon, Medisoft, Tenet Group, Daisy Group, Intermarketing Agency, NetPremacy Global Services, Mackinnon Bruce, Verona Group, Symingtons, WebAnywhere etc with limited spaces still available.
Tournament founder and Business Fives managing director John McClarey – who also organises a highly-successful Business Fours golf tournament – says “We are really excited about expanding the event to a prestigious city like Leeds with its rich footballing history we are expecting to see a lot of talent on show. We are delighted with how the local business community in Leeds has received the event with excitement building ahead of kick-off. We really appreciate the support of our event partners, Infinity Works and we’re looking forward to working with them to create a positive impact on the local community. Given the mix of companies we’ve had involved it promises to be another good networking opportunity.”
