Business fives Forth Valley Win for Webhelp
Business Fives debuted in Forth Valley on Tuesday with astounding success. 90 business professionals attended the event scoring 151 goals in 36 matches as 11 local businesses made their bid for the 3 qualifying places at Scotland’s 2020 winter season National final.
The companies’ combined to raise £1,535 for local charities and competition was tight for the top fundraiser award with Hexion raising £ 670 for MIND and Aberlour Child Care Trust with Alex M Adamson coming a close second raising £500 for Strathcarron Hospice. The Business Fives Winter season charity total is now over £56,000 with the £100k mark now insight.
The players were treated to a post-match debrief and Q & A with former Falkirk, Celtic and Hibs star John Hughes and Arbroath manager Dick Campbell who shared their thoughts on the season ahead as well as some funny memories from their illustrious managing careers in Scottish football.
They had the tough job of picking a man of the match in the final, Fraser Spence from the eventual champions, Webhelp scooped the honour.
Making their way to the Champions League final and successfully securing qualification to the finals were teams from Superglass and Webhelp.
The final qualifying spot up for grabs went to the winners of the Europa League section and the final was contested between First Mortgage who overcame Alex M Adamson in the semis and AECOM who got passed Denvir Marketing in the adjacent semi-final. It was a team effort in the end with the First Mortgage team claiming victory.
Active Stirling, St. James’s Place Wealth Management, WebHelp and Superglass all made their way into the Champions league section Semi-finals. WebHelp and Superglass reached the Champions League finals and in the end, Webhelp became the champions of Forth Valley with a 4-3 win.
The action continues in Scotland next Thursday in Edinburgh before a further stop in Aberdeen before the national final in Glasgow on Wednesday 1th April.
