Success For Silverchip And Compleat Crowned Business Esports Champions
This November companies from across the UK gathered online to take part in FIFA and Call of Duty Corporate Esports tournaments sponsored by Cloud Nexus and Ross Promotional Products.
It took 11,233 deaths and 631 goals for the champions to be crowned with Silverchip victorious in the Call of Duty section while Compleat Software lifted the FIFA trophy with both sides sealing a donation for their chosen charities, The Christie and Doncaster Foodbank respectively.
Both tournaments were action-packed with a combined 210 inter-company fixtures and it was Seb Smith from Silverchip who finished as the top marksman with a whopping 463 kills throughout the whole tournament. Sean Wordsworth from Compleat Software got bragging rights for top goal scorer in the FIFA Tournament with 98 of his teams 242 goals.
In the Elite Call of Duty Final and competing for the £500 charity donation, online viewers were treated to a very tight match between Silverchip and HighNet. After some neck and neck moments and with the maps 1 a piece it was Silverchip who held their nerve and won the final battle to be crowned Business Esports November 2020 Call Of Duty champions and win the £500 donation for The Christie. With the tournament played in a fantastic spirit throughout it was a fitting gesture from Silverchip Team Captain and company Co-Founder and CTO, Liam Bateman to split the donation between both charities which meant the Highland Hospice also won £250 as a result of the HighNet efforts.
Lindsays Solicitors and LOFT were crowned champions of the Professional and Prestige finals respectively.
In the FIFA Champions League Final, it was Compleat Software who came out on top against Icelantic in a closely fought affair to win 43-35 on aggregate and secure the £250 charity donation for Doncaster Foodbank, and bragging rights. While one HighNet team lost their unbeaten tag to finish as runners up in the COD tournament, another went on to win the Europa League Final in the FIFA tournament against LOFT.
Business Esports has provided an online platform for business professionals to network in a fun way remotely. With how close the Elite final was Business Esports were delighted to see the friendly sportsmanship between the players. Tony Miller from HighNet congratulated the COD champions on Twitter saying: “Congratulations to @Silverchip from your new pals @HighNetTelecoms”. Cody Leiper from HighNet said: “The whole team have had such a laugh and it has been something we’ve all massively looked forward to each night. I’ve seen the same response across the board with all the other companies we’ve played against”.
